Statistics

πŸ“Š Statistics overview

This section provides a comprehensive guide to the different types of statistics available across our platform, how they are updated, and where to find them.

πŸ”€ What are the types of statistics

We categorize statistics into two main types:

  • Performance & Delivery Statistics: these statistics are metrics that indicate delivery, visibility, interactivity, on an aggregated and anonymous model

  • Participations Statistics: these statistics are declarative data like responses to surveys, forms submissions, etc. that describes the user choices and information that he wants to share with the creative owner

🧭 Where statistics are displayed

Performance & delivery statistics

We expose performance and delivery statistics across multiple areas in the Desk app:

  • Global Dashboards: High-level overviews for advertisers, publishers, networks.

  • Object Lists: Campaign lists, creative lists, content lists.

  • Object Detail Pages: Individual views for a campaign, creative, or audience unit.

  • Nested Stats: Embedded statistics shown inside other objects (e.g., creative stats within a campaign).

  • Reports: Metrics are selectable in the reporting tools directly; see the reporting section for more details (β†’ reporting-tool.md)

Participations statistics

Participation statistics are displayed in fewer areas than for performance and delivery statistics

  • Creative & campaign results screens: Aggregated visualisation of question results showing the number of participants and the selected choices

  • Reports: Participation reports extracting the full participation data; see the reporting section for more details (β†’ reporting-tool.md)

πŸ” Update frequencies

We operate with multiple layers of data freshness, depending on the view and context:

caution: Minor variations may exist between different views due to aggregation delays or caching mechanisms.

πŸ“¦ Data sources

Depending on the type of statistic and view, data may come from:

  • Redis (live counters)

  • MongoDB (for participations)

  • MySQL (for aggregated statistics)

πŸ“ Accuracy & scope

  • All statistics are tenant-isolated: each account only sees the data it owns and, if it's a media group, a reseller, etc, the data its children accounts own.

  • Filters are automatically enforced to prevent data leakage between clients.

  • Some statistics shown in dashboards are aggregated, while others reflect raw or deduplicated values.
